I have already bought 6-day park hopper plus tickets for our trip in May. It turns out that we've been invited to go again with family next spring, an now AP's make the most sense.

My question is this... Can I upgrade my PH plus tickets (unused) to AP tickets?

If yes, then how do I go about doing this? Can I do online or by phone, or do I have to do it once I get down there?

If when I get down there, then where? Can we do it at the AK park, since that will be the 1st park we go to?

Hi Vermin!

Yes, you will be able to upgrade your park hoppers to APs. This must be done at a Guest Relations at a park or at a Disney resort. If AK is your first park, then it can be done there. :)

Have fun with your APs! :)

You can, but you might not get a good deal. We had 7 day hopper plus passes that had a day of admission plus all 3 plus features left. We wanted to upgrade to regular AP's, not the premium AP's. For 2 kids and one adult ticket, WDW was going to give us a credit of $128 total. Can you say Rip Off?! That covered 1 day admission in the parks, but it wasn't giving us credit for the 3 days of water parks (Plus Features). Needless to say, we didn't upgrade. This was just Easter weekend, so our experience is recent. I'd look for a good price on hoppers (Mousesavers has a 3 day for $140 for kids, but you have to get it soon) rather than planning on upgrading. Why lose your Plus features?

travelitis, you are talking about a Hopper Plus Pass that had already been used. I have read a number of times that "Plus" features have no cash value on trade in.

Vermin has unused Hopper Plusses. I am sure that they will get credit for the full amount that they paid for each Hopper towards the purchase of an AP. I do not believe that they will lose any money on this transaction.

If Vermin then wants to go to any of the water parks or PI, etc, and did not get a PAP, then they will have to buy the admissions separately.

Hope that this helps. :)

Unused PH or PH+ tickets can be upgrades to APs - the original cost will be applied to the upgrade.

Used PH or PH+ tickets can be upgraded to AP within the first seven days of use. However, if any plus options are used then one can only upgrade to the PAP, and not the regular AP.

BTW , AP $$ + Water Park AP $$ < PAP $$. Worthwhile if you don't do DQ or PI.

OK - another dumb question. Do I do this before using my ticket to get into the park, or do I enter 1st, then go to the guest relations? I have a PS for Breakfastosaurus at 8:10, well before the park "officially" opens.

No question is dumb.

You can do it either way. You will get the same credit either way. If you think you'll be late to your PS, have a leisurely (?) breakfast then go visit GR. :)

My only word of caution: DO NOT use any of the plus options before doing it. If you do, they will only allow you to apply the entire purchase price of the 6 day towards a PAP, not an AP.
