OK, we'll assume that.
I currently have an AP that I used last Feb. and will use again before it expires next January.
If I get a package and get SPD,
1. I would get a 10 day pass but not activate it for the parks.
2. If I took it to guest services at the park before I enter the fist time for that trip, can I get the adult value of my SPD ticket toward an AP voucher?
If not,
3. if I save the 10 day ticket for our next trip after that,
4. can I then upgrade to an AP after first use and get the value of an adult ticket or only the value of a child's.
1. Why would you get a 10-day ticket and not use it?
Is the ticket you are purchasing a "child's" ticket?
2. Why would you take it for upgrade BEFORE you used the ticket?
In nearly all cases it cannot HURT to use a ticket at least one time to enter
a theme park BEFORE upgrading that ticket, and in some cases it can HELP, price-wise.
3. Why would you decide to use the ticket one time before upgrade on the SECOND trip,
but NOT use the ticket one time before upgrade on the FIRST trip?
Why would you treat this situation differently for the second trip than for the first?
4. Regardless, you CAN upgrade to an AP on either trip.
If you USE the 10-day ticket at least one time to enter
a theme park BEFORE upgrading that ticket, your ticket will "become worth"
the price of that ticket BRAND NEW at the gate that day in the upgrade transaction.
So, use the ticket first, then upgrade it.
If it's a child ticket, you'll get the gate-price value of a new child's ticket of the same type in the upgrade transaction.
If it's an adult ticket, you'll get the gate-price value of a new adult ticket of the same type in the upgrade transaction.
