can you transfer points that are not yet available.

Is it possible to transfer points to another member if the points are not yet available. For instance, if the points are going to be available August 1, 2005, is it possible for me to borrow them tomorrow and transfer to another member's account?

Yes it is and you do not have to borrow them first. Actually borrowed points cannot be transferred. But they will allow you to transfer points from an upcoming UY. I just recently had members transfer Sep 05 and Dec 05 points to me.

You cannot borrow points unless they are needed to make a reservation, so you couldn't borrow them and then transfer them anyway.

But as Mike says, borrowed points may not be transferred. MS should be able to help you figure out how to do the transfer - If the CM says you can't transfer until 8/1/2005, ask for a Supervisor.

I just want to make certain that I understand what you guys are saying.

My use year is February. I can 'transfer' those points (which I don't get until Feb 2006) into another DVC member's account right now?!?
