Can you tip with a gift card?

Hey guys does anybody know if you can tip with a gift card at the restaurants? I am trying to save money, for the trip, by putting it on a card. We have the fd so I just have to worry about the tips. Figured rather than carrying cash around put it on a gift card.

Yep! You get a receipt similar to as if you used a credit card and it will show your remaining balance.

You could also put the gift cards or cash on your room as a credit, and anything you charge to the room using your kttwc would be taken off the cash balance instead of a credit card. Just save the physical gift card b/c any balance would be refunded to it. (Could take a travelers check instead of a gift card for this purpose.)

Or you could use a cc on your room, then pay off the balance every few days w/ the gift card so nothing will get charged to the cc at checkout.
