Hi,

Dh and I are visiting the world next Aug and I would like to try some different restauants as we always seem to go to the same places.

We like Ohanas, Teppan Endo, Le Ceiller, Kona cafe,

We did not like Whispering Canyon .

We would go anywhere on wdw - . Weve never been to the GF or Contempory resort .

Any help would be really appreciated

I'm not sure, but I think most, if not all, of the Disney resort and park restaurants are on the dining plan. You might try Fulton's at Downtown Disney or One of the restaurants in the Dolphin or Swan hotels.

Bistro de Paris at Epcot is wonderful and is not on the dining plan. Many of the restaurants at Downtown Disney are not on the plan. Then of course, there's always Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian!

Try Narcoossee's or Citrico's at the GF or Yachtsman at the Yacht Club for really nice meals. Or consider Kona at the Poly. You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide. :disrocks:

There's the Plaza in MK for a nice lunch, Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris would both be great in Epcot, Captain's Grill, Flying Fish, any of the restaurants at the Grand Floridian, the only place I wouldn't bother is DHS.

signature restaraunts I would choose, Jiko, Yachtsmen or Narcosses, or Flying Fish

non signature, I would choose, Sanaa, The Wave or one of the new ones in Epcot

Buffet would be Boma

we love Sanaa, tea at the Grand Floridian and Restaurant Marrakesh. We also enjoy the Brown Derby, California Grill and Kona.

We prefer to dine at the restaurants not on the dining plan.

Top choice is always Victoria & Alberts. It's in a league of it's own.

Others we enjoy are bluezoo, Bistro de Paris, Il Mulino. If I was a huge red meat eater, I'd go to Shula's.

There's also Fulton's and the Dining Room (uptairs) at Wolfgang Pucks at DTD.

Dining for two? VICTORIA AND ALBERTS:love:

Jiko, Sanaa, Citricos, Kouzinnas, BlueZoo, Flying Fish

Boma for breakfast buffet

I've heard good things about The Wave at the Contemporary...

..and I've experienced good things at California Grill at the Contemporary. ;)

Sanaa at AKV and The Wave at the Contemporary both had great food and were good values, we thought. We are on DDP in March but will be paying for Sanaa OOP.

How much does money factor into the decision? As adults, you can sample one of the fabulous signature restaurants on property. California Grill and Jiko immediately come to mind.

We liked Raglan Road in DTD, good food plus a show on a Saturday night. Also enjoyed Chefs de France too. Agree with others - would love to try Flying Fish, Kouzzina, Fultons

You might try Olivia's at OKW or the Turf Club at SSR.

We liked House of Blues, bought a $25 gc on restaurant.com for $2 plus they have happy hour from 3-5 and 10 til close. Drink specials and 1/2 appys ($5 for wings, pizza, etc)

Just throwing in my two cents. For signatures, I would go with Cali Grill, Jiko and/or Artist Point. AP is my absolute favorite:love: Non signatures... LOVE 'Ohana, Le Cellier, Le Chefs (Bistro de Paris definitey has better food...but I just can't bring myself to be that stuffy on vacation), Sanaa, and I've also never had a bad meal at Kona. And if you want breakfasts, I personally think Boma has the best breakfast on property, followed very closely by Kona and GF Cafe. Also, I've never had anything but excellent meals at any of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. Happy planning! P.S. your profile pic:rotfl:

We're essentially empty nesters on vacation. Our current faves are BlueZoo (at least once a trip since it opened) and Flying Fish.

We're also big fans of noshing our way thru the Lounges of the World. We might do the Monorail Crawl, stopping at Tambu Lounge in the Poly, then heading to the bar at Narcoossees & finishing up at the bar at The Wave or sometimes we do the Swolphin Lounges with Pizza or Calamari & drinks at Il Mulino finished with Crab Nachos & Cocktails at BlueZoo.

For lunches, our favorites are the Cabana at the Dolphin or the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Breakfast, we like Fresh, Kouzzina & Boma.

I love  the idea of a monorail crawl - thank you for the suggestion - I did not know you could get food at the lounges:idea:
