Can you still build light sabers at DTD?

Going to Disney in just a few days, staying at POR so were very close to DTD. My boys were wanting to build light sabers, and was wondering if you can still build them?

Dont want to get them excited over nothing

We were just there over Valentines and they had them at the toy shop-not at WOD, but I think it was Toy Story.

Had to drag my 2 DD's out of there, all I needed was two girls beating each other with double sided light sabers all weekend, no thanks...

I was wondering the same thing! My family is going in June, and my boyfriend is going with us. I can DEFINITELY see him making a light saber in DTD. I haven't said anything to him about that yet in case you can't do them anymore, plus I thought it'd be a fun surprise for him.

The build your own lightsabers are 19.99 and are sold at Once Upon a Toy shop at DTD and at the gift shop outside of Star Tours in DHS. We talked DS into buying his at DTD because I didn't want to carry a light saber around DHS all day. And we all know I would have been the one carrying it. LOL.

We built one for boyfriend in June and then DS had to have one when we went in September. Those were the prices then. Best of all, that price included the batteries! Could you imagine paying Disney prices for batteries? LOL... Both of ours were purchased at DTD but I did notice the one at Star Tours in September. The one at DTD seemed less busy/crowded too. We also received a pin with each one. I don't know if they are still doing that though.


Forgot to add that yes, those are the build your own lightsabers. We are now the proud owner of, I think, 5 light sabers now. But the boys like them. So I am happy.

We just got home from POR last night. My nephew had a light saber built at DTD and paid $15.89 including tax. A lot of items in all the gift shops were 25% off.

Sorry, OP, not to interrupt your thread, but can someone tell me more about this "build your own"? What are you building (yes I know, a light saber), but what options? How is one different from another? Can you choose, color, size, retracting vs not?? What else??

DS got a build your own lightsaber kit where you put different crystals in for differnet colors, it had different handles, etc. Is this the same thing where you get the kit or do you just build one lightsaber for that price?

Can't wait to it now!! haha We ALWAYS hit up DTD several times, so there will DEFINITELY be light saber building extravaganzas. haha (I couldn't help myself; I told him about the build-your-own-light-saber thing when I saw him tonight. haha) He was SO stoked, and his eyes popped out little it was the best thing he had ever heard. I can now visualize him and my younger brother battling with their very own light sabers.
