can you step out of restaurant for a few minutes to see fireworks?

Have ADR at Cinderella's Castle at 9:45 one night, Coral Reef at 8:10 another night. Is it feasible to step out of the restaurant mid-meal to see Wishes / Illuminations for a few minutes, or would that be impractical/impossible/frowned upon?

Impractical.

Coral Reef is down a sort of long hallway (giving the effect of being under water) around back in one of the pavilions closest to the front of the park/furthest from World Showcase; not even sure you can see the high fireworks from outside the building.

CRT is on the second floor. You'd need to go downstairs and outside, and being rightupagainst the building is probably a bad viewing area if you can even stand there.

Impractical and possibly frowned upon. If you are going to do it, make sure you tell your server or it could cause all sorts of problems!

Agree. Walking out and seeing fireworks is a regular thing at California Grill and Narcoossee's. But not so at these two places.
