Can you split dinners?

If we're not on the DDP and we want to split a meal, can we? And do they charge a fee for it? I'm trying to figure out if the plan will just be too much food for us! I don't want to spend the money and just be eating so that I "get my money's worth". I don't want to spend my time in the world feeling like this...

I think it most places you are allowed to split meals without incurring an extra cost (some of the non-Disney places may have different policies). On our last trip we often ordered an appetizer and entree and split it between two of us.

The only limitations that I can readily think of are the 'all you can eat' type options (like the Canyon Skillet at WCC). I don't think you can share those. Also, as always, at buffets each person will need to pay the full amount.

my g/f and i are the same way. it really isn't about money because when we order for ourselves, we never eat our leftovers anyways. i like having a non stuffed feeling because i don't have any self control, if i have my own plate, i will eat everything. i like sharing app/entree/dessert with my g/f and i actually am full, but not stuffed...

Some of the places I can think of that I know we've split meals are Kona, LTT, the Plaza, and HBD. There was no extra charge and it wasn't a problem at all.

You definitely can at most TS restaurants. Anything served family-style or a buffet can obviously not be split.

Several times when my mom and I have split our meals, the meal comes out to us on two different plates.

Can you split meals while on the DDP? Meaning, could we order one entree to split and use 1 TS credit for the both of us?

Yes, as long as you are sharing with someone who is also on the dining plan. My daughter and I ordered appetizers (OOP), then shared a small pizza at Via Napoli.

I was wondering the same thing and figured the answer would be no, so that's awesome! Maybe now we can try more restaurants! :yay: I'm thinking we use the TS credits for the buffets and then add a few OOP restaurants for the others!

DH and I just split at Le Cellier. We both ordered our own cheddar cheese soup to dip our breadsticks in and then split the filet meal. We were both plenty stuffed. No extra charge
