Can you split a meal at a buffet?

Hello. We will be on the dining plan and I was wondering if you are allowed to split meals between people when at a restaraunt that has a buffet (like the Biergarten). We would like our two daughters to be able to share a meal since they do not eat very much. Thanks!

Because the buffets are all you care to eat they will not allow you to do this. I have never eaten there, but I assume if it is a buffet it is all you care to eat.

Children 3 and under eat free at buffets.

Nope, just like a buffet at home it's priced per person regardless of how much they eat.

Can you do this where you live? I've never heard of any establishment allowing a BOGO buffet - especially not at WDW. You must pay for each person. Sorry.

They can surely split a meal, as long as you pay the full (age-applicable) price for each! :)

they do have kids price though so it isn't like you need to pay adult price for 2 little ones.

the only place i can think of where you could split a kids meal while parents got ayce would be WCC as they have a plated kid's meals & you could split it and the parents get the skillet

This includes Ohana as well.

How about at the regular sit down places? It's so much food that is given and I hate to leave anything on my plate with the prices that are paid. Do the waiters give you a hard time or are they used to it?

We didn't have any problems on our last two trips, our kids shared the kids meal each sit down meal we ate (they're 4 and 2).

we split often at table service places (with a menu - not per person places) and the waitstaff has never given us a hard time. matter of fact, every meal has always been split in the back and presented beautifully to each of us. Saves a ton in money AND in wasted food.

We split at both TS and CS places for our kids and they are 6 and 9. The adult counter service combos are plenty of food for them to share with each other (or Mom if they can't agree on what to order then I share with both of them).

At TS places we always tip extra if we split a meal because it is extra work for the server and they are always super nice about it. They always bring it out already split on two plates and we often find they give each plate a full sized serving of the sides/fries.
