Can you see IllumiNations from the Boardwalk?

Was thinking of making PSs for Cape May for 7:30 on the first night we arrive. This was we can stroll back to the Dolphin and watch IllumiNations at the same time. Is this possible?

I'm not sure if this helps but here goes.
We were able to watch Illuminations while eating outside of Big River Brew Factory on the BW. You got alittle better view if you walked over to the railing by the lake. We also saw them while walking "home" to the BWI over the bridge leaving through the WS exit to the BW. Also our room at the BWI we were able to see them. Keep in mind you will only be able to see the higher part of the show. You can hear the music from the BW. I'm not sure if by the S&D you would get the best view. I guess my advise would be to walk over to the "bridge"that is between the BC and the BW after you eat and view them from there. Have a great time. FYI I heard Cape May buffet is very good, enjoy!
