Can you see fireworks from balcony room on the fantasy?

Our 1st verandah on a Disney ship was last Sept on the Dream. We were in 8564 and we got the letter. In April we were in 7648, slightly more forward, and didn't get the letter. We assumed it varied with location so we watched from our verandah. :cloud9:
We had a beautiful view.
There were lots of others out there too all clapping & cheering.

We'll be on deck 5 aft in Nov so we'll see if we get the letter.

We were midship starboard on the Magic in May and never got a note. We watched from our verandah and then hightailed it to the theater for a late showing of the Avengers.

Wow, I never even knew this policy existed !! Then again, wife always wants to stay on port side !! Is there a good place to see fireworks from an indoor area aboard the fantasy ?? 6 yr old DD hates the loud noises they make but loves the colors ??

We always have earplugs on hand just in case.

From everything I have read they do not allow you to be on the verandah's during the fireworks. I believe I read that they actually deliver a note to all verandah rooms , or have some kind of notice stating you are not allowed on the verandah's during the fireworks. I assume this is a safety issue.

Don't mean to ruin your idea! Just passing on what I've been told. And if I am incorrect someone feel free to correct me!

Untrue. We had a verandah room, received no note, and were allowed to be on our decks during fireworks. As to the Q about if it's a good view I cannot answer bc I was on deck for the party. I would guess you could see some stuff, but not all as they don't shoot way far away/high. And you'd definitely be missing most of the fun - it's abig party. But if u don't want that big party, or can't go, I'm sure you'll see & hear some festivities. Depending which deck your room is, obviously...

Correct. Only some rooms get the letter. The ones most likely to be hit by falling debris.

I just noticed, this thread is from 4 years ago. Some things have changed. I believe at one time all verandah rooms got the letter. But, since the Dream class ships entered service, it seems that it's only some rooms.
