Can you see animals from the AKL villas?

This is probably a dumb question, but Savannah view is what would appeal to me about AKL. If it's just theme I wouldn't be as interested.

Yes, a Savannah view means you can see real animals from your room.

Keep in mind that there are periods in early 2009 when there will be no animals on the savannah due to construction of the AKV. I don't have the exact dates, but perhaps another poster can provide them.

Kidani Village is due to be completed by 9/09 so if your potential stay is after that you'll be fine.

yup, you can see plenty of animals from a savannah view room...we stayed in AKL in '02 and what surprised me was how fast the novelty of seeing the animals from the room wears off...day 1 is like "Wow!, look at the animals"...day 2 is like "hey, look at the animals"...day 3 is "oh look, more animals"...very nice place to stay though...

But only the Sunset savanna will be lacking animals (Jan 09 to mid April 09), the Uzima and Arusha savanna's will still have animals throughout and that must account for 75% of savanna view villas.

Just got back from an AKV savannah view studio stay, Aursha savannah, lots of animals. We saw plenty from the Sunset common viewing area as well.

We were on the 5th floor overlooking the arusha savanah in July and we saw SO MANY ANIMALS!

It was awesome!!!!!



I wish we had had more time there, since we enjoyed it so much. Seeing the animals did not get old for us at all. We were in constant awe looking out from our balcony. But we are animal lovers to begin with.

Basically staying there reaffirmed for us that we bought into the right home resort and we are saving up to do an add-on since we loved it so much!
