Can you ride the ME on a different day than your flight?

I searched the threads, but I didn't see an answer to this question. We are thinking about doing a split stay in August (half on site, half off site). We would need to rent a car for the first half of the trip, but not the second. If we return the car to the airport, can we ride (probably just my hubby) the ME back to WDW?

Sure when you put down your flight info pick one that will arrive when you want to return the car

You might also explore retuning the car to a closer location such as the car care center. Some non-Disney hotels (swop fin and some DTD hotels) have various car rental counters.
