just picked up my new glasses this morn. While having lunch DH commented that one side looked more oval than the other. One having more of a square edge to them.
Is the frame "sameness" something i should have noticed when purchasing the glasses? or did they somehow change the frame when they added the lenses?

i've returnedprescription glasses twice, once because they kept chipping the edges of the lenses and the second time because they could not get the prescription right. both times i had no problem.

In your situation, I would not hesitate to take the glasses back to have the lenses fixed. Just because you didn't notice a problem when you picked up the glasses doesn't negate the fact that there IS a problem. I'm not sure but there could be a couple of different reasons why you ended up with differently-shaped lenses - maybe the lens blanks were two different sizes when the shop got them, maybe they made a mistake when they trimmed/ground the edges. In any case, it's their mistake they should fix it.

And if you *don't* get your new plasses fixed, they will bother you every single time you put them on. Now that you've noticed the lens discrepancy, you'll always be seeing the difference.

I just got new glasses yesterday - my first bi-focals :scared1: As much as these glasses cost, they better be PERFECT. Astigmatic in one eye, near-sighted, anti-glare coating, special lenses(I think it's called indexed or something,so they don't have to be as thick as they would otherwise have to be)...oh yeah, they were expensive.

agnes!

For sure return yours. Lenscrafters has a 30 day return policy--glasses can be returned for any reason.

ya these were $380 - anti glare, progressive bifocals, photogray, thinner lenses, etc
so maybe i should put my old glasses back on until i get these replaced

And it's 90 days if they don't get the lenses right! The 30 days is just if you don't like them.

I kept having problems with my lenses and Lenscrafters was an absolute dream to work with. They even let it drag beyond the 90 days for us to get them right.

Even though they're pricey, I'll never go anywhere else now. :thumbsup2

That *is* just for the lenses, right? If you tell me that includes the frames, I will just about *die* of envy.

It definately sounds like it is something that they are 'at fault' for, so you should be able to get it corrected. Also there really is no harm in trying :) good luck!

I love Lenscrafters. No problem with returning. I ordered progressives and couldn't get used to them. Returned them and got bi-focals and love them.

My 13yo's glasses broke a few days ago and we brought them back to Lenscrafters. It had been a few months, so we expected to pay 1/2 price for the replacement, but they gave us a one-time replacement pair. :thumbsup2 Very good customer service. I can't say we've always had that kind of service, but in general have been happy.
