I would love to get window sets when we eat at cal. grill. Any tips?

The only place and time to request a window seat is when you check in for your ADR at the 4th floor podium. I think if they can do it, they will. They might also tell you that you can get a window seat if you wait longer for one to open up.

The best way to get a window seat is to make your ADR for an early time. I think they start serving at 5:30...so as close to that as possible is your best chance. Last time I went we had a 5:40 and the place was only 1/4 full. We didn't even ask for a window seat, but they gave us one. :)

Thats good. I have a 530 resv.
Yes, but if fireworks aren't till 8:00pm lingering excessively over coffee just to see the fireworks is rude and not fair to other patrons nor to your server. Take your final cocktail and head to the viewing deck for the show!

There are no fire works that nite. But thanks for making sure i wouldn't be rude.

I think you will enjoy your evening much more if there are no fireworks. Too many people book CG simply for the fireworks. Hopefully it wont be as crowded that evening. Even if there aren't fireworks enjoying a refreshing cocktail in the peace of the night air is just magical while taking in the scenery. :wizard:

You can always put in a request, but there are no guarantees. There definately are a lot more "smaller" tables (ie. 2 seat) at the windows then there are larger ones too.

I've been to CG a few times and always had a window seat. We always are a party of 2 and have ADRs at 5:30 at opening.

I also did put the request in when I made my ADR. And, mentioned it again when checking in. The view is fantastic.

We are always done before fireworks and watch it either on the terrace or walk back into the MK.

Enjoy!!!!:goodvibes

Yes we did but the CM said it may not be possible...we were the first seating, and the first few to check in...we were seated at a fantastic 4 top table along the windows with a wonderful view of the Castle.

Shortly afterwards a family of 4 sat at the table next to us but not alongside the windows...the wife was having a complete and utter fit about it but honestly her view was just as great as ours because it was so close

We have one a 9:05 at CG on a night when holiday wishes will be at 930 because of MVCP)

I wonder if we will be able to see the fireworks then?

What time do you think we should show up at the ADR podium?

I'm really conflicted about keeping this adr because I don't know what we'll be doing from 7pm when MK closes to the time for the adr.

Do any of the resorts on the monorail have an arcade?

All the monorail resorts have arcades.
Also, I think you could easily fill 2 hours with shopping in the monorail resorts. FUN!:goodvibes
