Can you request a dedicated 2 bedroom?

We're going to stay at SSR in October with friends. I know we would prefer to have 2 regular beds in the second bedroom instead of a bed and sofa sleeper. Can you request a dedicated 2 bedroom? Has anyone done this and if so, was your request honored?

You can't request it because it is a separate booking category. You have to book it up front as a dedicated 2 BR unit. You could call and see what you have and possibly change over if you need to.

I know at OKW, they usually give out dedicated two bedrooms to members reserving a two bedroom villa before they give them a lockoff two bedroom. You need to request a lock off at OKW if you want that. So I'd bet SSR would probably be the same. If you reserved a two bedroom, they will give out the dedicated two bedrooms before they give out the lock offs. Just add it to your reservation and see what happens.

I thought that was only BCV for the dedicated two bedroom with two queen beds since some dedicated have the queen and sleeper sofa in the second bedroom. I didn't think that applied to the other resorts since those dedicated two bedrooms all have two queen beds.

We've only done two bedrooms at OKW, so I'm not the expert on two bedroom villas.

No, all 2 BR are booked directly as lockoff's OR dedicated units and for view type where applicable. It's possible the OP has a dedicated 2 BR and simply isn't aware and if not, they may be able to change it. Now it's always possible something would happen and it could get switched around but this is very unlikely with DVC.
