Can you request a dedicated 2 BDR?

We are looking at renting points at AKV for the first time and I was wondering if the reservation can be made for a dedicated 2 bedroom or if that has to be requested late. We have 3 young children and they sleep better if they start out in separate beds. Thanks

A dedicated two bedroom villa will have two beds in the second bedroom and one king bed in the master bedroom, so each of the kids won't be able to have their own bed unless you are going to give up the master bed.

You need to request a dedicated rather than a lock off. However, Jambo House has no dedicated two bedroom villas, so you'll have to be at Kidani Village if you want AKV.

Dedicated or Lockoff is an actual booking category, it has to be selected when the reservation is made, it's not a request you can make later. A dedicated will have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. A lockoff will have a queen and a double sleeper sofa in the second bedroom and also a separate door to the outside. With young kids, you would want to get a dedicated reserved so that they don't have that second exit.

We have a dedicated two bedroom for our upcoming stay although I did not specifically ask for it. I just wanted a two bedroom unit so they probably would rather choose to rent out the dedicated units first because that leaves them the studios and 1 br that they can rent out separately if need be. I'm sure if you said you wanted a dedicated, they would give it to you if they had it. With young kids, probably a good idea. We're taking my retired parents, but they didn't think they would be out on the town and needing to sneak in quietly so they said we didn't need the lock off!
