First let me explain that we are considering using the DDP when we go with my parents in Dec 2007 more to eliminate the arguement when the bill comes over who is paying as opposed to saving money. That being said, there are a few places that we would like to have TS that aren't on the DDP and therefore would like to replace the TS credit with CS. For a weeks vacation we fit in 5 or so TS and the rest CS so we could use an extra CS. Do they let you do that? They would end up ahead in $$$ so I can't imagine they would be opposed to it, but maybe their system can't do that.

What I would suggest is that you use your cs meal for the day, and save the ts credit to use at one of the signature resteraunts that take 2ts credits. That way you don't waste them.

We had quite a few counter service credits left over. Cast members are unable to convert them to table credits, and vice versa. Our concierge staff member was really sympathetic, and she said if she could, she would have! Bummer.

Best thing to do is plan, plan, plan.

I believe the OP was asking the question the OTHER way: Wanting to use TS credits for CS meals -- the OP specifically wants "extra CS". In that direction, it isn't a flat-out "No" but rather an equivocal "maybe". During the free dining promotion this past year, there was an explicit OFFER that allowed you to use a TS credit for a CS meal (one-for-one) plus you could get a couple of snacks and a complementary lanyard from a gift shop. That promotion has ended. However, prior to the free dining promotion, some (but not all) of the hotel front desks were willing to convert TS credits into CS credits. Only some were willing to do so, and they were only willing to do so toward the end of your visit, when it was clear that you would definitely not want to convert them back (because that would NOT be possible). They converted them on a one-for-one basis, so it isn't a good move financially for the guest, but it was possible. It may still be possible, in some cases. You'd have to ask at your hotel to know if they'd be willing to do it at this point.

Thanks for the info.
