Can you rent or transfer developer points?

With the 100 pt minimum buy in at AKL, we will probably take the plunge back into DVC.

BUT...I don't see how we will use the developer points within the next 12 months. I know I could use it thru II, but I'm not sure what would be available with such short notice.

I'm not sure about the original question, but as far as I know, the 100 buy-in doesn't come with developer points, only the $8 off per point.

Spoke with my guide yesterday and you do get the 100 developer points.

Developer's points cannot be transfered to another member.

However, you may make reservations with developer's points and rent the reservation.

Some posters have reported that the reservation process for Developer's points is cumbersome (manual for MS). Changes can be difficult - not the best situation for owners looking to rent, especially those who are renting for the first time. That said, many here have rented reservations made with developer's points.

Actually, I am renting out my developer points and not having more than the usual problems. It just seems to take a while. I got a lot of bites originally, but have definitely slowed down now that I have over 4 pages of posts.
