Would like to know if it's possible to rent someone's DVC points for use at a non-DVC resort such as the Polynesian or GF. I haven't been able to get a straight answer on this. Does anybody know? Thanks!!

Yes, but the cost per night in points is very expensive, and the point rental would almost always cost you more than rack rate direct from Disney for a non-DVC resort.

Wow, really? Thanks for the information. But it WOULD be worth my while most of the time to attempt to rent someone's points for use at, say, WLV?

YES, Renting points at a DVC resort can be a great value- but you need to educate yourself on the process, do your homework... it is a bit more work than going through CRO but you will save $$$

If you decide to rent a reservation from a DVC member, it will be between you and the member. They make the rules and you can either decide to agree or find a new member to rent from. VWL is the smallest DVC resort, so it might be hard to get some of the time. Especially only a few months out.

DVC points cannot be used at resorts that have DVC resorts connected, like WL, BC and BWI. They cannot be used at Value resorts.
