Can you rent a car at disney?

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a car rental place at disney or near disney? We have transportation already from sanford to disney but thought about renting a car for our return to the airport. We do not need to rent a car for the 10 days we are there because we have access to a car but will need to get back to the airport. I thought renting a car for a day would be cheaper then a taxi or the tiffany towncar company. I know you can return cars to a few places at disney but can you rent also? Thanks in advance!

We are renting through National at the Car Care Center near MK. I believe Alamo is also at this location. In addition, there are rental companies at the Dolphin (if I remember correctly). # for National at CCC is 1-407-824-3470, or visit any of the companies' web sites.

How do you get to the car care center if you don't have a car? Do National or Alamo (or any other companies) pick you up/deliver your rental car to Disney hotels (we're at POFQ). We want to rent a car for just one day during our upcoming visit. I assume any of the major companies will also rent car seats for toddlers, right? Thanks for the assistance!

National/Alamo DO pick you up! They're glad to do it. Just call for a pickup the night before. Front desk at your resort can help with the phone numbers. Did this at POFQ last summer when we wanted to rent a car for the daytrip to Kennedy SC. Alama/National even shuttled us back to POFQ When returned the car..

We usually rent through Alamo/National but at the Dolphin location. I find it easy because we just plan to go to Epcot or MGM that day and take the boat/or walk over. I also like their return policy.. just hand the keys to the valet and let him know you are returning it

Only drawback is Dolphins car hours are 8a-4p...

Thanks from me, too! This is what I love about the DIS--something that would take you hours to figure out by calling various car rental companies, you can get the answer to in one quick question. I'm putting National's CCC phone number in our travel book right now!

I went back and forth for 2 weeks trying to decide between renting from the CCC or the Dolphin. Finally, decided on the Dolphin. I made my pickup time for 3:00. We walked over from Epcot, did the paperwork, got the keys (which I then obsessively worried about losing!!). Then went back to Epcot for the rest of the day. After IllumiNations was done, we slowly walked back to the Dolphin, gave the valet our keys, he brought the car around and back to POP we went. Incredibly easy...so easy, I think I'll do it again!!!
