Can you Renew DVC AP online?

I've tried to search for an answer, but couldn't find one. When I log into MDE it shows that I can renew my AP now under my profile. When I click on "renew" it takes me to the AP page. Then I get a message telling me to link my AP in order to Renew! WTH, obviously if my AP wasn't on my account I wouldn've get the "renew" option to renew. No matter how I try, it just loops me around and around. Tells me to link my pass, which it is and when I check my pass it tells me it's time to renew. So my question is, has anyone successfully renewed lately online, or can we just not do it online anymore like past years. I am 60 days out and have the "renew" button on my linked AP, but it just won't give me the renewal page and tells me my AP is not linked. Very frustrating. Before I call and do this, I just wanted to see if anyone has been able to do it. I've always renewed online, choose willcall and print the certificate. I had planned to do it in person during my January trip, but now in order to book FP+ I need to have my new renewal certificate linked. My current AP runs out day 3 of my trip, so that's as far as I could go. I've never renewed over the phone. :scratchin

The problem you are likely having is that you cannot renew at this time. You can renew an AP only during the period that begins 30 days before expiration and ends 30 days after expiration. You are still more than 30 days before expiration. You can use existing AP in MDE to make FP+ but it sounds like it will only let you do days until expiration. Once you are able to renew, you will be able to put the renewal receipt number in MDE and make additonal FP+'s (there should still be many left at that time). Yours is just another of a long list of issues that the IT people obviously did not think about when creating MDE and FP+ and requiring a valid ticket or receipt number that show you have tickets for the entire you are going to be there so you can do all your FP+'s 60 days out..

I had a similar question for when it comes time to renew my AP. When I looked on the Member site, it said that you must call member services to renew the AP or visit Guest Services at any WDW theme park or Downtown Disney. APs can be renewed up to 60 days before and 30 days after expiration.

Yes, my profile does say I am within the window now....it's actually 60 days prior now (I think it was changed recently, so I'm not crazy since you saw that too)...it does say that on the AP website now. Yesterday it didn't say anything next to my linked AP on my profile, but today there is a button that says "renew" on it. Just everytime I click the button to renew, it comes back and says that either my AP isn't linked or I'm not within the window time. Seems one part of the website is recognizing it's time to renew, while the other side says no. I guess I'll be calling MS to sort it out. Sadly, I'm not surprised that something simple does not work.

You do have to call member services to renew. The I.T. Person at Disney said that the website is not set up to recognize the special DVC discount yet. When you hit renew it will only give you the regular people price (his words not mine! LOL!) This will be amended at some point.. but for now they will renew and give you a renewal number that you can input into your "My Disney Experience" page. It will take approx 48-72 hours to update that you have been renewed before your code will be accepted. After that you are able to make plans for your upcoming trip (if you have one set).

Hope this helps!

Thanks. That answered my next question of how to update MDE once you renew it through Member services.

After a week of trying to call MS I finally got through on Sunday and renewed my PAP to a regular AP. She gave me my will call number. I linked it to MDE and it was available immediately and I made additional FP + selections. So there was no wait time between renewing time and getting my will call number to go live Normally I would have just renewed in person but with FP now it's changed everything
