If member A transfers points to member B can member B rent those points to non member C?

Also, if a train is leaving Topeka .... kidding.

Thanks

Yes, once the points are transferred into your account they are yours to do with as you please, except you can not transfer them to another DVC account. Hence one reason for the limit on the number of transfers

thanks chuck,
I also assume that transfers in do not count against the one transfer per year policy?

thanks again for your help.

They do count. Only one transfer per use year is allowed, either in or out, it is not one of each. This prevents people from receiveing points from multiple owners to book many reservations on rental specualtion.

Makes sense. Do those transferred points retain the original home resort and expiration or do they change to reflect member B's home resort?

Thx

The points retain their home resort and Use Year. For example, if you own points at BCV and need additional points to book there in the 11-month window then you need to transfer in BCV points. If you transfer in points from another resort, they cannot be used to make the BCV reservation until you are within 7 months of check in.

If you own at OKW and want to book at BCV 11 months out, you could transfer in BCV points and use them at the 11 month window at BCV. You could not use any of your OKW points at BCV 11 months out, only the BCV points you had transferred in to your account.
