Can you really trade CS credits for snacks?

I've read this different places and just wanted some info on it. Is it limited to "where" you can do it? How many credits do you get per CS credit?

I'm not sure its an actual trade, just a different way to construct a CS meal. At our resort Grab & Go we were able to geta bottled beverage, bakery item and something more like an entree(cheese and fruit plate, PB&J, wrapped sandwich, etc.) for a CS credit. I also think there was a two drink combination as well. We did this to use up our final 2CS credits and I know I had more than two drinks. I had a banana, apple, PB&J, OJ, water and I'm not sure whatelse, but the CM was very knowledgbable as to the combos we could get. I've never read a written policy, but would sugget you check at your resort when you check in.

The only other places I'd think this might apply is the CS bakeries (Main Street in MK and the Boardwalk). I am less familiar with the Epcot places, but perhaps there too, though it seems more of those places are privately owned do they are probably more rigid in their interpretation of a CS meal.

Hope that helps!

We just got back yesterday from 8 days on the DDP.

The CMs seemed to all have different ideas as to what was and what was not included.
For example,on our first morning we picked up 2 breakfast plates, 1 soda and 1 juice at the Sunshine Food Fair in The Land and ended up with 2 juices, 2 sodas and 3 bottles of water, all on the receipt and included as 2 CS credit because the CM kept telling us we needed more drinks.

If you want to use a CS for snack type things, this is definitely possible if you don't use the term snack credit but instead ask the CM what is included for a CS credit.
I know that in the bakery in France you can get a drink, pastry and cheese plate for a CS. I would consider that 3 snacks.

The CMs are better trained about what is included for a credit than on technical things like trading.

Yup, gobo2 and I are saying the same thing. CS meals come in different shapes and sizes; think of it that way rather than "trade".

thats a good idea, sometimes having a few snacks to tide you over is what i would like to do rather then order a CS meal.

We stayed at POP this past Sept. This is how it worked our entire stay.
CS for breakfast was entree and 2 drinks, so you could get coffee and oj
CS for lunch was entree, drink and dessert.
CS for snack was 2 snacks and drink
Always worked out nice in the morning to have a drink with the meal and then a water or something to take to the park.
