Can you really ship to a Disney resort?

Has anyone had anything delivered to the Wilderness Lodge before from an online store? We leave in 2 weeks and was thinking about trying to order a few Christmas pressies from Walmart (have you seen how cheap Lego is there??!), and possibly some water. Would the hotel accept delivery? What address would I use? Has anyone ordered from Walmart before?

Thanks for your help.... 14 sleeps :cool1::cool1::cool1:

You most definitely can ship things to the resorts.

I was at Wilderness Lodge in 2010 and we had a Garden Grocer delivery made there. I believe you need to put Guest Name, your check in date along with the resorts full address.

Others on here do it heaps so hopefully they chime in with what they do.

nikdisney, start shopping! We've never had an issue with delivery over the past 3 years. Ms Shuttergirl gave some great advice re the details to include on the package. Although all members of your party will be listed as guests, I usually put the name of the person who made the room booking on the package, just to be on the safe side. When adding your arrival date, remember to use the US format of mm/dd/yy.

Wow, my credit card is practically sizzling already :yay: :yay:

Does anyone know what the street address for WL is?? I have something that says 901 Timberline Drive. Does that sound right?

Thanks for all the help - we're first timers to Disney and are insanely excited (or just insane :rotfl::rotfl:)

That address looks right so what are you waiting for?!!?

Wow! 14 sleeps until your first visit. You are going to love it! Have you made any ADR's? Are you all organised?

I order water from Amazon on every trip, and it's shipped there waiting for us to arrive! The last trip they even brought it to the room for us.

Make sure to put the day you arrive, they will hold it behind the counter and it should be listed in the computer with your reservation.

We had so much stuff waiting for us at Saratoga Springs, the poor girl had to make 3 trips out the back to get it all for us!
It was so easy to do. Just make sure you have the guest name & arrival date on your parcel & it is easy as that.
Have a great time!

We are pretty organized - I'm a planning freak, so I practically have our days planned to the minute - not sure how the rest of the family will go with it though:rotfl2:

'We' are me (41:eek:), DH (42:hyper:), DD10 and DD7 and are beyond excited. :cool1:

We have ADR's at Akershus, CRT, T-Rex, Mama Melrose, Chef Mickey's, Rainforest Cafe at AK and Whispering Canyon. And tickets for MVMCP.

Now just waiting for my photopass+ voucher to arrive. I ordered it last Monday, so I'm cutting it close. :scared1:

That is hilarious!! It will be hard to resist the lure of any shopping knowing it can be delivered and waiting for me....! Now I wish I'd gotten in on the Disney store sale a couple of weeks ago. :)

Doooo it! Doooo it! You know you want to Karen :teeth: you might have better luck getting it sent to California compared to Florida, do a small test package :thumbsup2

I've had LOTS of packages forwarded to WDW before we arrive - deliveries from Amazon - Walmart - Crocs - Gardengrocer - Vera Bradley - Disney Store and Le Sportsac come to mind. There have been others I can't recall.

Have always received all packages, on time, every time - usually waiting for us on arrival. One trip was seriously embarrassing, they had to get a cart for us to get the stuff to the room.

I always address the packages as follows:

Example:

FIRSTNAME SURNAME - GUEST ARRIVING SEPT 21
DISNEY PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT HOTEL
2201 ORLEANS DR
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL 32830-8424
United States
Phone: 407-934-5000

Note: Name is the name ON THE BOOKING

Date: Spell out the month and day, don't abbreviate

Name of hotel: Start with "Disney" even if that's not the official name of the hotel - better chance of speedy delivery as the couriers know exactly where to go

Address of hotel: Always use a street address - the general Disney PO Box is rejected by some parcel delivery companies due to the massive amounts of mail Disney gets.

Phone: Resort phone number, not your mobile - if the courier needs to call for delivery/direction to the delivery entrance it's better the get directions from the hotel than from you.

I hope that helps.
