My partner has
AAA, it's a gift that she gets for her birthday each year from her grandmother. We didn't know if she was going to get it as a gift this year, because her grandmother has been ill and has moved recently, but we found out yesterday that she is getting AAA for her birthday.
We booked our king room at CSR with AAA and saved about $180 over the course of 6 nights in value season. The normal cost of a AAA membership is $60. Needless to say, it's worth it. We were prepared to buy a AAA membership in order to save the extra money.
While we both have trucks that are only a year old that are super reliable transportation, they are gas hogs. We can rent a car for our trip through Hertz and save some cash with the AAA discount too. For the occasional flat tire or whatnot, AAA is a great deal too.
If you are looking to book a package deal, you need to do your research, find a good AAA TA, which can be a bit of a daunting task. With a AAA package deal, you get the AAA diamond parking pass, which lets you park super close to parks and you get a discounted shopping card, which saves you money at various places around the WDW resort.
AAA is not a bad way to go. We also are using it for discounts on the other two hotels that we will need to book for the time that we will be visiting family in FL before we go to WDW. AAA will most likely save us over $300+ on this trip. Maggie
