Can you put on mascara...

with your mouth closed? If you can, I'm jealous. I must look so goofy when I am trying to put mascara on because I just can't seem to close my mouth!

It's hard to do! Even when I concertrate on keeping it closed it just comes open.

Try feeding a baby with a spoon! I garantee you will unknowingly open your mouth everytime you move the spoon towards the babies mouth! I used to do that all the time - and I used to watch to see if anyone else did it. I don't think I saw one person who didn't open their mouth doing this

I'm probably going to get made fun of for admitting this as a guy, but I'll mention it anyways. Since I do a lot of work in the theater I will use mascara on a regular basis . I use it more for darkening my eyebrows and or beards (I have a light beard), but I have noticed that when I use it I do open my mouth as well....kind of funny isn't it.

I'm going to be getting ready for work in a couple of minutes, and I will try to keep my mouth shut - but I don't think I can do it

I do this too. Whenever my Dh catches me doing it, he puts something in my mouth. Last weekend it was a hairband. If I had his eyelashes I wouldn't need mascara. Why is it that men get the beautiful long and naturally curled lashes?

Ain't that the truth! I am naturally blond so my eyebrows and eyelashes are very light colored. They are loooong, but light. I have to bathe in mascara to look human

That's me (except, maybe not so long as yours). I always so that without mascara I look like Annie (from the comic strip, you know, the white spots instead of eyes?)

Me and my college roommate joked about this for years. Neither of us could do it. We'd both make weird faces without even realizing it. I guess I feel a little more normal now knowing I'm not the only one.

I can sympathise with those having blonde eyelashes. My eyelashes and eyebrows are naturally platinum blonde. For me to look human, mascara is a must. I don't color my eyebrows though. I'm so used to looking at myself with blonde ones that when I darken them (even ever so slightly) I think I look strange.

Yep, Believe it or not- I can put on my mascara with my mouth closed! Yay for me!

I don't open my mouth... then again I have very dark lashes (to with the other dark hair that sometimes I hate ) and they are very long. If I try to open my eyes all the way, the mascara will dot my skin near my eyebrows. So to put it on, I actually close my eyes just a hair compared to normal.

However you ought to see the looks on my face if I curl my eyelashes

I open my mouth too! While I can put on mascara without opening my mouth, I just don't like it.

I think I read somewhere that opening your mouth reduces your need to blink while putting on make up?

I was trying to keep my mouth shut while I put on my mascara last Sunday. I didn't want the folks behind me on the way to church making fun of me when we got there. I just couldn't do it.
