Can you purchase FROM Australia?

Have been doing my sums this weekend & before I get too excited, can someone please tell me if you are able to buy into the DVC (through Disney) from Australia? I have heard that there are members from Australia but I don't know if they joined up while on holiday or if they were able to join from Australia. I am not sure if there are different rules for timeshare purchases in Australia than the US. Being the weekend & with the time difference I would have to wait until tomorrow night to phone Disney to find out myself. Just hoping that someone can help me out before that (dieing of curiosity now!)

I would doubt it. We are in Ireland and they could only sell to us if we were in Orlando at the time of purchase.

We overcame this by buying a re-sale through the Timeshare store (sponsors of this forum) - you could buy a small re-sale through them then add on through Disney.

To get the definative(sp) answer though you will have to call Disney Monday (or with the time difference you could e-mail them)
