Can you please help a newbie?

My dd has been playing VMK for a few weeks now. Just to preface, I don't play, I don't understand it, don't "get" it, etc.

She asked if I could please ask here: she had enough credits to buy a room. Now she wonders how to get people to come in. Do you have to do something specific to open it? please help!

If your daughter is in her room, it is open. In order for it to show up on the popular room list, it must have some other people in it. The best way to have this happen is to invite friends to visit. The more people, the higher on the list her room will climb.

Not really! Just have a very welcoming name, and hope some one notices it!
Another thing that helps is to have your friends or family wait in the room with you because when there are more people in a room the more likely someone is to notice it!

i think she needs to invite some of her friends into the room, and then have those ppl invite their friends, and so on. that isn't really wat i do, bc ppl just pour into my rooms all the time for no apparent reason, but i think that is like the only way to actually get ppl to come. well, besides luck, LOL

Thanks! Now, is she supposed to put things in her room that make it fun, or anything? Or do people just come and talk and trade things?

(Please excuse my ignorance, I've tried to figure things out for her, is there a course or something for people like me, lol?)
