Can you pick HIFS theme?

I was just going to let HIFS choose our theme and be surprised. I have seen posts from some of you, though, who requested certain themes. When can I do this? When I make reservations? When I arrive?

You can make your request by calling in and having it added to your reservation.

Also, when you check in, you can request it again.

The first time we just took what they gave us (Train theme), and this last time I asked when we checked in if they had any Disney rooms, and they were happy to assign us one .

You can request a certain theme or building in advance, but that doesn't guarantee that you'll get it. When we checked in (after making requests well in advance), I was told "that's just a request, not a reservation". We did end up getting the theme I asked for, but not the building. I think it has a lot to do with what time you check in and what's available. We got there at 3:30 on a Sun, and there was not that much to choose from. This time around we will be there by 1:30 on a Saturday, we'll see if it makes any difference.

We will be there in 18 days, and I would like to select a theme as I have read here that some children were afraid of the jungle theme, the bird theme, etc. Can anyone tell me what all of the different themes are? We're not going to Disney this trip, just US/IOA, so I would prefer not to have a Disney themed room (gasp!) because I don't want my three yr. old thinking that we are at Disney!!!

Coca-Cola (Polar Bears), Hi & Lois, A&W All-American Food, Eddie's Ice Cream, Camp Kellogg, Manatee, Train (historical), Choo-choo train, Space Exploration, Hot Air Balloons, Space Exploration, "JJ The Telephone Repair Bear" ?!, Circus, Gingerbread, Space Camp (and of course the ones you mentioned.

I've heard they are adding Universal characters (Sponge Bob?) but I don't think they will be done until next year...I guess you could ASK!
