Can you pay to upgrade Free dining plan?

As of now we are staying at POP in October. My Mom is taking the whole family for my brother's 40th bday. So far no pin codes attached to any of us so we are hoping that at least FD will be offered up.

Here's my question.... "IF" the free dining offer is make, will disney let you apply the amount for the counter service plan towards the regular dining plan and then we pay the difference between the two? Or will will need to upgrade to a mod resort? Just want to be ready to strike if the offer comes up this summer.
Has anyone done this in the past? Thanks in advance!

The answer is yes you can! I have done it multiple time because my kids wanted to stay at PoP. You will pay the difference.

Yes, you can upgrade and you would pay the difference between the QSDP and DDP and not have to upgrade to a mod .

You certainly can!!! We did this last November when we stayed at Pop!

Yes you can. I believe it's $18 a day per adult and $3 per day per child to upgrade the dining plan. We are doing this for our next trip. Have a great time!

You can upgrade to deluxe dinning as well for the difference in price.

Not only is it allowed, but Disney is quite happy for you to upgrade your plan to DDP or DxDP. When you make your reservation, I'd be surprised if the CM doesn't promote the fact that you can upgrade to DDP for only $xx more.

LOL, you beat me to this. We always upgrade to the Deluxe, but I always "let" the CM suggest it. Hey, it might make them feel good about themselves that they can "up" sell me.
