Can you pay deposit with Disney gift card

Hi there- I hope this is the right place for this question... I know you can pay deposit with credit card and then pay down balance with gift cards at the resort... but can you $200 vacation deposit be paid with a gift card? Thanks...

If for some reason you get a phone CM that says you can’t. Ask them to enter the gift card number in the credit card number place. It will work that way.

Just make sure you keep the gift card you used in case you have to cancel for some reason. Anything refunded would go back to its original form of payment, in this case, your gift card.

This is an important point. You can mitigate any potential problem with this by using the Disney giftcard site to create an account and save your giftcard(s) to your account (you can save up to 5). Then if you cancel, the refunded $$$ will show on your account and you will be able to transfer those funds to any other giftcard you have, even if you've lost the original physical card. The max amount for any single card is $1000.

For anyone who does a search in the future, within two hours of posting my question about how long it takes Disney to refund a deposit to a gift card, the balance was returned to my gift card. I did not have to wait even a day!
