DH could answer a lot more of the questions than I could! That was sad since I am a natural born US citizen and he is natural born Canadian. I can answer them all, now :rotfl:

This is a sample test for the citizenship test, how many can you answer the first time through?

Immigration test

Oh sorry guys, the full test has 100 questions. You might just want to do a few rounds.

I wish it would total up your score instead of randomly generating questions. I played for about 10 rounds and only got one wrong (and I feel stupid for getting it wrong!). Yes, I am a social sciences dork!!!

I played a few rounds and I usually ended up missing 1 each time. The one I did miss was the one that I stopped to think about.

Does this test ever end? I can get all the levels that I tried correct. So I guess I earned my birth right.

I got 100% through 9 rounds before giving up - a lot of the questions seemed to be repeats or rephrases.

I answered a few rounds. I seemed to be getting them all right. I guess I know more about this stuff than I thought!

I got 100 on the test for about 6 rounds before I gave up.

I probably couldn't pass the test, but I can spell "immigration" :rolleyes1

I got the question that asked what year the constitution was written wrong

But I got everything else right!

they're all basic questions right out of a high school civics textbook. I knew all the answrs, of course, but sadly, many Americans do not.

I really should pay more attention. I answered around 10 rounds and kept clicking to generate questions. I thought I was being asked them all and the results would be tallied at the end. :lmao: DUH!

I did then go on to another 10 rounds or so and did quite well. It doesn't hurt that my kids covered all this in the past 5 to 6 years in school. I would have no problem passing this test, especially if I read the questions thoroughly instead of hurrying thru the ones I'd already had. I chose the Speaker of the House as to who would be next in line for the presidency if the president died. The other question was if the president and VP died, so hurrying thru, I got it wrong.

High school? My kids had this from about 3rd grade to maybe 6th or 7th.

I ran 100 questions, some were dupicates. I scored 99%, and I would actually contest the one I got wrong. The question was how many times can a President be elected. The answer they wanted was "two", I chose "There is no limit". Because the president is limited to two CONSECUTIVE terms, but may be elected any number of times, as long as only two terms are consectutive.

The question was not how many consecutive terms may a president serve.

I've passed the real thing. Now I'm just waiting for my oath ceremony to become and US citizen. When I did the test they only asked me 10 of the questions. A little studying and anyone can pass the test.

Twenty-Second Amendment to the Constitution

"Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once....."

There was another one that can be contested as well, but I can't seem to remember it lol. I think the questions and answers should not be 'read into', because most taking the test have not had years of US History under their belts as US citizens do. Although the 2 consecutive term limit goes out the door with FDR anyway!

It's two terms, not two consecutive terms. Also, if a VP assumes the President's term, he cannot serve more than two terms plus two years.

The two term limit was put into place because of FDR
