Can you order food ala carte?

We are a family of picky eaters and often don't eat sides that come with meals. Can you order items ala carte? For instance, at Cocina Cucamonga we may want the soft tacos but won't eat all the sides (rice, beans, etc). Can we order just the tacos?

Yes and no. The best thing to do is ask. We don't eat at Cocina Cucamonga, so I can't answer about that specific location. I do know you can order a corn dog a la carte at the Little Red Wagon or the corn dog place in DCA, but you can't get a hot dog a la carte at Award Weiners or Coke Corner. You can ask for the burgers and sandwiches a la carte at Hungry Bear. At some of the places you can just order something as an extra or side. For example, you can order just a side of meatballs at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, an extra biscuit at Plaza Inn, an extra roll at French Market, or an extra side at Flo's, so maybe it's possible to just order some tacos at the location you are interested in.

You can order grilled cheese a la carte at Jolly Holiday. You can order extra sides or just sides at most places. I get just sides at Flo's and have seen people get just fries at Village Haus. You can't order anything on CS kid's menus a la carte, I've tried.
