Just wondering on the dining plan, if the little ones arent up to sitting there, can you place an order to go???

I believe you can at the resorts - I did order to go at Kona, but I wasnt on the dining plan at that time...

I want to get soup to go from R&C over at Epcot. I have no idea if they will do that for me or not. But, I guess that I will find out in December. Maggie

Well, we don't have to know the answer anymore, we changed an ADR from WCC to R&C. But, I will bump this for anyone with a clue to answer. Maggie

I have actually called Jiko from my cell phone and placed an order "to go", swung buy and picked it up 15 minutes later, and taken it home to eat. Sometimes you aren't dressed for it, or just dont' feel like eating out.

So I can say FOR SURE that Jiko has no problem with "to go" orders.

I have always wondered this. With little ones, sometimes they just melt down by meal time - anyone tried to order "to go" from in the parks? Other resorts? :confused3

We ordered a meal to go from Concourse at the CR last fall and then just ran downstairs to pick it up....WAY better than the CR room service... we have also gotten cheese soup and pretzel bread sticks to go from Le Cellier and then took it outside to eat while we waited on Illuminations (YUMMMM)

Not sure if they would be willing to do that with the dining plan but I have seen it done at several TS places.

I'm not sure if it was because it was a holiday, but we had a PS for Spoodle's last year for New Year's Eve and my daughter was too sick to go so we called to ask if we could place a to-go order and they said no. My husband and I went to the restaurant, were seated immediately, and ordered our food right away. As soon as it came we asked for a box and then took it back to our room with us. This meant we still had to leave a tip and it was somwhat time consuming, but DD was too sick to leave the room and it worked...

I think you should tip even if it is carry out from a TS place.

I think because of the holiday, because I've been able to call in an order to Spoodles and pick it up from the podium no problem. I haven't done it for going on a couple years though, so things *might* have changed.

My DS got sick (high fever) on our last night at 1900 Park Fare. DH left without eating and took him back to our room. The CM gave me 2 to-go boxes and let me make him a plate from the buffet to take for DH to eat. They were extremely nice and accommodating.

I've gotten grapefruit cake to go from the Brown Derby. :lovestruc
