When we cruised on Carnival and NCL if you couldn't decide on an entree or wanted to try more than one they would let you order two, can you do this on DCL for the rotational restaurants as well as in Palo? Thanks.

You can eat two entrees - two desserts - 5 appetizers - anything you want!!

At Palo, I think we ordered the filet mignons, and our server just brought out a few extra pastas that she thought we would like - they were the best pasta I've ever had.

Yummmmmmmmm, now I'm hungry just thinking about it!

At Palo's, I wanted to pick a dessert other than the soufle, and our server Victor said, "you must try the soufle, I'll bring you both!" Without a doubt, you can order whatever you want.

I have never done this before, but in November i might try it! I am doing South Beach, and I would love to eat the protein of two meals and pass on the sides that come with them.... :)

You can order anything you like, in fact during the 1st 3 nights on the 7 day cruises you can order anything on the menu from the other 2 restaurants, since I believe they share the same galley. For example I had souffles for dessert each night even though souffles were only on the Lumierre's menu. After the 3rd night the restaurants all have the same menu (e.g., Pirate's night).

Be aware that serving sizes tend to be large and that you will be provided with extra appetizers and desserts without ordering them. Kinda fun, but you'll end up with a ton of food on your table. Some of it is really good, some is merely ok.

Here's the rub though - you really can only order extra items up front. The servers follow the standard drink order/drink delivery/food order/appetizer delivery/entre delivery/dessert order/dessert delivery service process. If you really liked an appetizer and wish to have another order of it instead of dessert you might have a hard time getting it. I actually had better luck upstairs at the sit down dinner in Topsiders getting a la cart items than in the restaurants. It's not that the galley doesn't have them, it's just that the service process has the servers moving really fast in order to get everything done in a somewhat timely fashion (you'll notice this if/when you try to order an extra smoothie or alcoholic drink with dinner).

your server will most likely be able to do this on one plate too. I combined different mains and sides from the menu and it was no problem.

most definately...and remember to bring loose fitting clothes! My mom was battling cancer when I took her on board in 03 and she could barely hold any weight on ... but on the cruise she gained at least 5 pounds and for her that's next to impossible!! it is wonderful, enjoy yourself!!

The last time we cruised, I mentioned to our server how much I liked the creme brulee at Tritons. After he brought me a 3rd one, I politely told him that I had had enough.

My favorite thing to do at lunchtime is to order a few appetizers.

The menus are the same every night in all the restaurants now, except Palo.

You don't need to order anything extra in Palo, they will bring it to you automatically..lol. Order the entree you want most and just let them spoil you after that. They will bring you the best of the best. Everyone is wrapped around the ankles about that chocolate souffle..it is no way near the best dessert Palo has to offer. So yes, they bring everyone that souffle, but then some other wonderful desserts as well.
