Can you now book fast passes earlier than 60 days?

My 60 day window was October 24 (it was tomorrow, now it's after MN so technically it's today :P), so I stayed up until MN tonight (the 23rd) to do our FP+ like I've done for the past few trips. I was on the computer around 11:40 PM just to get signed in and to make sure I was ready to go, and it let me book everything prior to Midnight. Is that normal now and I'm just behind the times? For my previous trips it would not show the full booking window until exactly MN, and then finally all of the days would show as available to book. I know I didn't mess my booking date up - I have the booklet they send you when you book telling you the day to start FPs and touring plans sent me an email today to remind me to book my FP tomorrow. I got what I wanted, so it didn't make a difference, but when COULD I have started making them? :confused3

We could. I think MDE struggles with 60 days when a month has 31 days.
We check in 12/18. I expected to make our FP on Mon 10/19. I happened to check on Sunday 10/18 just after midnight and I could make them for the entire trip, 5 days.

What time zone are you in? It starts at midnight eastern so in my time zone, it opens at 11.

I'm Eastern, the same as WDW. I also double checked my email, and I got an email from Disney this morning (October 23rd) saying you can make your FP+ reservations now :confused3 I had just assumed they were giving me notice to plan for tomorrow and didn't check to see if I could do it this morning, but it is worded that I could start making them when I got the email. So them I panicked and wondered if they had our dates wrong for our resort stay, but it still says check in Dec 23rd. Then I double checked the 60 days on an advanced reservations calculator and it is indeed the 24th. So who knows, it's weird. I guess I've spent way too long wondering about it, I should be in bed, but I'm intrigued and will likely never know. It seems like maybe they ended up a day off on the booing opening online for this reservation?

I suspect I could have done that also, booked at MN last night (Oct 23). I'll never know for sure, as I didn't try. I'm glad I was able to get what I wanted, otherwise I would be irritated with myself for not checking at least this AM when I got the email. Since it's a Christmas trip and we have a 2 yr old, we tried to stick with rides we can all ride (ie no height requirement), which eliminates many of the harder to get FP+ in the MK at least (and we don't want Anna and Elsa).

I always get the e-mail the morning after I've stayed up the night before to make the FP+ so I laugh at it (like I made them 9 hours ago thanks for playing). I always check @kennythepirate site to see when I can make FP+ ....if he charged me by the number of times I visit his site I'd be in trouble :-) I've never been able to make them earlier than that date (and yes, I've been on the computer playing around / waiting) at 11 pm.

Remember that while your window opened today, other people opened yesterday or last week.....and since you can book FP for your whole stay that those that booked before today may already snatch up all the fast passes for a particular time or even the entire day. Someone will always have been there before you, lol.

The good news is that Disney appears to be releasing FP in waves....because a few days/weeks later there will suddenly be a bunch available that weren't available yesterday. I'm glad they do that as it makes it a bit more fair...so if you didn't get what you wanted during your window, keep checking. Just like ADRs someone may cancel or Disney may release more.
