I know that the plan is for the new dinosaur themed restaurant in DTD to be open late fall. We are going in January, so I was wondering if anyone was able to make ADRs.

I think you can't make them until they release an opening date. Not sure. But that's what they made me do last year for Yak & Yeti. I wanted Y & Y in April and I couldn't book it till they opened. I forget exactly when they booked it for me.

1) Don't know if they will take ADR's.
2) Landry's outside of the parks are not on DDP and don't make ADR's.
3) Of course, they might be like RFC, and take ressies directly.

I called a couple of days ago to add an ADR and asked about new places opening soon (since I heard rumors about a new Pirate restaurant). At that time she told me to call back in about a month that they should be taking ADR's for it then if all goes as planned. I did not ask about T Rex, she offered the info to me. Yak and Yeti is also a Landry's restaurant. (And rainforest cafe) Disney makes ADR's for the locations over at AK, or did last time we went. So according to that CM they will but not until there's an opening date. It seems like that rest is taking forever to be built. It was supposed to open last year! :confused3

A CM told you to call back in a few months to make an ADR for a new pirate restaurant? What new pirate restaurant? I've missed something???

While you are correct that they don't take the DDP and don't take ADR's, for whatever reason the Rainforest Cafe location at the Animal Kingdom does accept ADR's made threw WDW-Dining.

To better explain,
. . . RFC at AK takes ADR's because it is at a park, but not DDP
. . . Yak & Yeti takes ADR's and DDP because it is in a park
. . . RFC at DTD does not take ADR's or DDP because is is not at or in a park
. . . soem believe T-Rex will be like RFC in DTD

NOTE: RFC at DTD takes ressies through direct phone number.

Disney will not take reservations until an official opening date is announced. For Tusker House, it was about 1 month before opening if I remember correctly.

Actually that does explain things a lot better.

I spoke with a CM and with some one that works at the RFC in DTD a couple of weeks ago...

There is no word when T-Rex will open...However, it is clear that they will not be open by "Fall"...The computer at Disney Dining now reads "Late 2008"....

They had no idea when they would be open or when they would take reservations...

They both believe (but were guessing) that T-Rex will not take the dining plan and would take reservations directly like the RFC in DTD...

They gave the same basic information even though they are from two different places so I would think think this information is good.
