Sorry if this has been covered before.

We are traveling on the Magic in February. We have a large group (18) traveling from as close as Alabama and as far away as Alaska. We hope to all arrive Friday and board together on Saturday, but if we don't:

I read in another thread we could board separately (even people staying in the same cabin - that was a suprise), so my question is can I make reservations at Palos, the Spa, and the oceaneers clubs without everyone being there?

Can one person make ressies at Palo's for 5 different rooms? Can I make spa ressies for someone in my party not yet on board?

Thanks for the help guys.

Ok....you cannot register someone else's kid in Oceaneer's Club or Lab. Each set of parents will have to register their own kid. You can list each other as able to sign your children in/out.

You can make Palo ressies for others--but I don't know about 5 staterooms worth. I do know that you can make a ressie for 4 even though you have only 2 adults in your stateroom. Be aware that if you book it, it will be billed to your stateroom account unless you have it changed when you go to Palo (you can split it up there.) If someone is a no show and you made the ressie, you will be charged.

I know a DH can make spa ressie for wife. Really don't know about other staterooms. The issue isnt' really whether or not the other party is on board. It is who is responsible for the charges. The easiest way would be to all board somewhat close together. Usually in Feb., the ship is not full. Thus, ressies aren't generally a problem if you are at the port by noon...or at least this has been my experience.

There is NO rush to register the kids in their programs. Every kid on board is assured of a registration spot. This one is low on our priority scale.

Be sure that your bookings are "linked" so that you are all seated in the same area at dinner. We once had a table for 18, but even if that can't be done, you would all be in the same server's area.

Thanks kcashner! Very helpful information. I didn't know cruises in February aren't always sold out! I assumed all cruises sold out.

I read in one of my guide books to register the kids after boarding, so I'm glad to know there isn't a rush.

Our dining is linked. I would love to have a table for 18! That would be so fun!

Like I said our goal is to all be there Friday and board together Saturday, but realistically with so many people traveling from different places, someone could get delayed.

Thanks for the info!
