I'm a server and I completely disagree.I personally think it's rude to tie up a table at a TS restaurant for just coffee and dessert. Plenty of other people think it's just fine.
Agreed!Hardly the same thing as a family coming in at prime time, splitting a meal or 2 amongst themselves, ordering water, and then camping out for hours waiting for Illuminations. Now THAT'S rude.

Unless a restaurant is buffet or prix fixe, there is no statement in any of the terms & conditions that say you must order everything.
People frequently book late desserts at Be Our Guest in the evening, sushi and wine at Cali Grill, anything at Beaches & Cream, sit-down for ice cream at the TS Plaza, etc. This is part of the ebb and flow of server assignment and they all know this.
Thanks guys. We were thinking about The Plaza or Beaches and Cream. Nothing like a coffee and dessert break! We would never "camp out" though. We are commando RD to park close kind of people who have to get back out there lol.
I think that sounds great.
My dmil loves her coffee & cake breaks-
Which are ordinarily from a window or quick service.
think I shall be arranging some planned ts stops on our future trips.
Obviously a buffet restaurant would be a no go-
Is there anywhere else in the parks to avoid?
