Today the official release of concept art for Fantasyland was presented.

It's going to be beautiful! Can you imagine how many beautiful shots you will be able to capture back there!?! So exciting!

im completely jealous of the later brides. It would complete my dream to have pics in front of belles castle. I'm having a beauty and the beast theme wedding. Imagine having a reception in the beasts ballroom restaurant!

Please do realize that the concept art is not going to be exact. When it does all get finished it will look a bit different.

But yes, it will look amazing. I may have to decide to do a vow renewal just to get these photos.

One question (and maybe I was just so in awe of it all I missed it during the announement!) is the work due to start in 2012 or is it to be finished by 2012? If its to be finished in 2012 when is it starting? I'm worried about having scaffolding etc in my bridal portraits next year!

I agree about worrying as to when this construction will start. They'll probably work in phases because you can't just shut down FL. Castle pics will still be available, and I'm sure the carousel will be fine as well.

I think they mentioned construction starting in early 2010. I was worried about the same thing, we aren't doing MK portraits, but it would kinda be a bummer to have everyone travel all that way for our wedding and everything is closed. I think they are working in phases though, and the pixie hollow thing I believe will probably start after the princesses are done.

Part one will finish. Pixie Hollow will finish in 2013.

Most of the castle work is set to begin in just a few months and finish by July 2010.

All the other work you won't notice in your pictures. Most of the work will be going on behind what's currently visible to guests. You'll most notice the construction during the day when you hear it. You may notice some lights and noise during sessions, but I don't think it's going to effect any pictures. Plus they photoshop everything so they'll just edit stuff out.

Thank you for posting the video link, it does indeed look very exciting. Especially the Beauty and the Beast 'set'.

I must admit though it does make me a little sad that it won't be open when we get married in Dec 2010, I would have adored having dinner in the the Beasts dinning room. Still, it just means we shall have to plan for a vow renewal at some point in the future

I am also a little concerned about what the park shall look like when we fly over. I'd hate to think things were closed or looked awful, some of my party have never been before and I just hope this will not spoil it for them.

Have Disney made any comment the construction work as of yet?
