Hello All,

So a vauge question but I just want a rough sort of idea based on the below?

We fly into Orlando on Wednesday 1st May, and are taking the ME to our resort (SSR). We have the ultimate WDW tickets, and the standard free dining for our entire 8 night stay.

We are then using the disney transfer to Port Canaveral, for a 3 night cruise.

This is what Im looking to budget for, can you advise if I've missed anything out? Or if i've over budgetted or under budgetted on any elements? This for 2 adults!

Alcoholic Beverages - $400 (Based on approx. $20 per round inc. tip, 3-4 rounds per night over 4-5 nights of our stay)
OOP Food - $100 (mainly extra snacks for OH)
Tips on Cruise - $144 (We will pre pay when we arrive on the credit card as per Disney tips)
Tips for housekeeping at WDW - $40 ($5 per night we stay)
Alcohol to take on ship - $50 (Gin and Tonic water)
Souvenir's for Friends and Family - $150 (Will mostly be buying everyone Mickey Ears!)
My shopping/Gifts - $250 (My own spends!)

Approx $1134 to date

I know I'll have missed something somewhere?

We will also have the credit card with us for any 'just in case of' or just in case we decide to make a large purchase, but we aren't really going to Disney to shop or get drunk! It really is about having fun, and then the cruise is to relax!

We aren't going to book any extra excursions on the ship and instead enjoy the island for what it is, and the ship!

Anything you guys think I should budget for from experience? We dont go until next year but I just like to plan my finances even months in advance :D

Maybe add a budget for stuff you might want to do on the cruise - spa/excursions etc

:goodvibes

I'm exactly like you I seem to write a new budget everyday because I'm afraid I'll forget something :rotfl: We go 5 days after you so we have loads of time left to save too.:)

If you're wanting Photopass+ remember to set some money aside for that. We're doing it because with it just being the two of us going we're worried we won't get many good photos with both of us in lol

dont forget the tips for the dining plan restaurants!

Oh gosh yes! Dining TS tips! Completely forgot.

So I would say maybe another $160 in tips for 8 TS nights dining at WDW. Thats $20 per meal, which I would say would be around the 20% mark?

Correct me if Im miles off! thanks

I think that should be ok, if you're just having the entree and dessert. However if you plan on paying OOP for dessert or alcohol, you may want to budget a bit more. On one of our trips I worked out what we paid in tips and for the 4 of us (all eating of the adult menu) for 14 TS it worked out to around $600 and that included several b'fasts! :scared1:
