Can you help us settle this debate?

You will be after you finish planning this whole thing. Then you can just sit back and try to watch the parades while your eyes stop spinning.

Have a Lapu Lapu, kiss your MIL, and remember to get pics of her watching her grandchildren...Disney magic will do its job!

Have a wonderful time!

we are taking our and blank cd to burn the pictures from memory card onto disc. Dont want to take chance of a computer crash and losing them off the hard drive. We have taken ours on every vacation since our 2 year old was born cause we don't have a dvd player in the car and ours doubles as one (we also have a power converter box that plugs into the car and give you a normal electric outlet). I personally think it is necessary but then again, I am not flying in.
We are coming for our first onsite stay in less than a week and I am more excited than I was when I was a kid. LOL

Personally, I would just invest in a couple more memory sticks, cards, etc. for the camera. They are smaller and take up very little space in your luggage. :-)

If you were to lose your laptop at WDW, that would probably overshadow any good times you had while you were there.

Plus, if you lose the laptop after downloading all of those photos, you're gonna really kick yourself!

Hi this is the DH

Now I am waffling on bringing the laptop. right now we have 1 256mb card, 64mb card and an 8mb card. I like the portability of the SD cards but one of my issues is the amt of time that WDW take to do the transfer and the price which is 120 pics for 12.99. I can buy 50 cd roms for 19.99 or less. My other concern is the security of the laptop in our room; at WDW Old Key West and in our room on the cruise; and having to carry the laptop. I would be in deep trouble if the CPU got lost or broken or even stolen on the trip.
Then there is the convience of being able to download my pictures nightly to the CPU and copy to CD rom. Also there is my PDA I can view pictures on it so there is my second problem should I bring my PDA too!!!!
Pleas help me befor my DW thinks I am too crazy with all the technology

thanks

We took ours last two weeks ago and were glad that we had it. We got so many great pictures that we may have missed if we had not been able to erase our cards each night. It also doubled as a DVD player for us if there was nothing on for our 2 year old. If you dont feel safe with leaving it in the room you could take to the front desk and have them keep it in theirs (no charge) during the day. We had our in a backpack and I never saw any indication that it was messed with. (By the way my DH is a security nut and it was a brand new purchase just a week before we left $2100 laptop, so if he did it anyone can. LOL)

Why would you spend time on a computer when your in Disneyland and can be doing alot more fun things with your time? It is supposed to be a vacation after all.

we didnt spend anymore time on the computer than to burn the memory cards to cd, that was the whole purpose of taking it. And speaking as someone who was stuck in the hotel room for almost 2 days for the hurricane, it was nice to have a DVD player (the one on the laptop) for my two year old or our neighbors would have been bangin on the walls cause she was bouncing off of them.
