Can you help the newbie?

Hi! I made resservations for September 2-10 of this year in a premium site. We have never been to FW before & I need to find us a good site. My ideal spot would be quiet, walking distance to a playground, and spacious. We have a 37' toyhauler w/ 1 slide plus our awning & a Ford diesel dually-I think that makes us like 67' or so. I also have 2 little ones-my daughter will be almost 4 & my son nearly 2 by our trip. Can you rec a good spot for us, please?

I would think you would like something around the 1400-1500 loop. You will be close to the pool and where they do the nightly campfire and movie and I believe it is quieter there. We like to stay in the 300 loop because we like to be near the marina, etc...We were able to walk to the marina, camp store, Trail's End, etc...I hope that helps.

100-200 are close to the marina playground. 300 is right at the largest playground and 500 is right across from it. 1400 is fairly close to the pool playground. All these are preferred sites--closer to amenities BUT also somewhat smaller sites. You may have to request the one thing that is most important to you and then let them assign you to the largest site they have.

Can you tell I've spent a lot of time at the FW playgrounds?

. We like to stay in the 300 loop because we like to be near the marina, etc...We were able to walk to the marina, camp store, Trail's End, etc...I hope that helps.

We're thinking of staying in the 300 loop next December (2006). We're planning on buying a 5th wheel next year with a picture window in back and thought it might be nice have a canal view.

Do you know of any canal view sites? Also, do you know if the bugs are worse by the water? Any info would be appreciated.

I wouldn’t count on staying any place in particular. My Family just got back from the Fort. I requested the 1500 loop with central reservations. Just to make sure, agian with FW directly 4 days before arrival. After talking to 2 different people, neither of them actually saved this information on my reservation. Even though FW was not even full, they could not put us in the 1500 loop.
