Doesn't look too bad.

I used to fly Comair all of the time when I was in college (that was a few years ago now though), and they were puddle jumpers (maybe 50ish seats). I didn't mind it at all..... it was pretty comfortable and safe.

Is that the kind of help you were looking for?

We flew one of these smaller jets home from CVG and I personally prefer this. It takes less time to board/unboard, at most there are 2 seats across, and you can gate check anything that doesn't fit in the overhead.

been on planes this size. No nig deal at all - unless it's real windy

I was asking DH about that the other day. We're flying a Delta 767 down but coming home we're listed Delta/Comair/Canadair. Guess we'll just find out when we come home.

I did a little checking for you but w/o your travel specifics I had to make some assumptions. I figured you're flying from the VA area to MCO, correct? This means you'll probably be flying Comair which means you'll probably be on a Canadair Regional Jet 70. Here's a comment from http://www.seatguru.com :

The newest thing in regional jets, this one holds 70 passengers. From the comments to date, flyers like this new plane better than older 737 or 757 airplanes. People say the seats are pretty comfortable and that the windows are better positioned than a typical RJ and that the floor seems one inch lower than normal. The overhead storage is a little worse than average. A few complaints about only 1 bathroom for 70 people. No audio, video, or laptop power.

I hope this helps.

You will be fine, they are small jets. Delta doesn't have prop planes anymore.

Blondie, as others have said you should be fine. While I have flown those specific jets, I have flown on the Embrear jets and they are great! Personally I think they fly smoother than the big jets and really what I prefer to fly on now. Fortunately the Delta non-stops to Orlando from Columbus and the non-stops to Chicago from here all seem to use them. Just watch out, very few roll on carry ons actually fit in the little jets in the overhead compartments. If they fit, they will fit beneath the seat. I now just always check baggage if I carry one of those when I fly.

Thanks for all the help and advice!

According to that link provided, we are flying on a Chautauqua Airlines Embraer Regional Jet!

Can't wait! This time next month God willing, we should be safely in Orlando!

You should only worry if....

1.) The guy taking your ticket also stows your bags and is the pilot

2.) They take your laptop away because either a.) it won't fit anywhere on the plane or b.) the pilot needs it to fly the plane

3.) They ask you your weight when you get on and tell your where to sit so the plane is balanced

Other than that you'll be fine...... ;)

PS Most of these are partially true but for only really, really small planes. You'll be fine!
