We need our last two days for our Nov. trip. We are at SSR but I got to thinking maybe we could waitlist for OKW too instead of moving to CBR in two standard rooms. If I am waitlisted for SSR can I put a 2nd resort? I bet though that if OKW comes up first...then they grab those days there?? How does that work please??

I know this is a touchy subject but I wondered if there are set rules for this. Thanks.

Yes, you can waitlist at two different resorts for the days you want.

MS will automatically reserve whichever one comes through first and cancel the waitlist for the other resort. For example, if OKW comes through, MS will automatically book it for you and cancel your SSR waitlist. If you still want to try for SSR, you can call back and get on that waitlist again. But you would go to the bottom of the SSR waitlist. Of course, if that happens (OKW comes through first), worst case is you don't have to go to CBR.

Good luck!

Thanks. I always have to laugh at myself when I post these things. I have a friend that goes to Disney a lot but swears that DVC is complicated and things like this :scared1: her. She always says "the booking at this time or that, home resort, non home resort, waiting lists, holding accts." :scared1: Make her not want to buy in. :rotfl:

MS currently allows 5 people in a 1 bedroom, but you are on your own to provide bedding for the 5th person. If you put all 5 on the reservation (and you should if you go this route), all will have a resort ID (needed for EMH) and all will be eligible for Magical Express and the Dining Plan if you use those options.

Anyone who wants to discuss occupancy may do so in the Occupancy Thread.

Please do not discuss occupancy here and thus get the OP's thread closed, since her primary question is about the waitlist.

Thanks.....didn't even realize there was a special thread for that. I always learn something on my beloved Dis boards.

Okay I went ahead and called them to add OKW. I have a feeling we will have to move regardless and that OKW might open up before SSR. We stayed at OKW this summer and enjoyed it. My boys loved the Community Hall. So they would probably like to go there.
