Can You Have Things Delivered To Your Hotel??

HELLO EVERYBODY I HAVE A QUESTION TO ASK

A friend of mine has asked me if he could have a suit, hat and shoes delivered to my hotel on international drive as he said the price to have it delivered to the UK was really expensive and just wondered if anybody has done this before? any advice would be helpful.

We have done this many times, but only at Disney resorts (DVC members), and sometimes the package has arrived before us and they bring it when we check in. I'm not sure I would want to risk it in other hotels, but hopefully someone else who has done it will chip in.

I also have only had items sent to Disney resorts. You could phone the hotel and ask if it is ok for items to be delivered and if they do arrive early will they hold them. Your friend could also ask the store to only deliver between certain dates!!!

2 tales: Fedex delivered a package to a hotel -not the one I was staying in although their driver was adamant that he did as he had a signature from the front desk! I supplied them with a copy of the hotel employees roster to prove that no one under that name worked there but still they were adamant,letteres ,faxes,phone calls.... 6 month later I gave up! Now you think that you are covered if you buy it on your credit card......NO! Once the merchant has proof that they gave it to the postal company it is the postal companies "baby"!
2nd story: About £700 worth of fishing gear (not worth buying in Rip off Britain!!) UPS -waiting for me on arrival at the hotel! Both off site
Your friend needs to check that the merchant will deliver to a different address from his card & that someonelse can sign for it.Other than that (as long as it's not FEDEX) then there shouldn't be a problem!
