We are considering going to IOA on Monday, November 1st - anyone know what to expect, crowd wise? We will get there before opening and head to WWOHP.

Or if there is a better day that week please tell me ... Thanks for any help :)

Should be uncrowded. Don't think any day that week will be particularly more or less crowded than that day.

With Potter Harry in town,I would'nt give any crowd predictiuon's.

We were at Universal Studios on Nov 1, 2006. The park felt almost deserted. Clearly, the night before had been a HUGE crowd.

I looked at going that week, but AP hotel rates were higher than the weeks before. I think because of it being Jersey week. I would say the earlier in the week the better as more people arrive the busier it will get. Still it should be a good time to visit.

Keep in mind that Halloween (the night before) draws large crowds at both US/IOA and WDW.

So do you think that means people will have been out late the night before, and not up and at em on Monday Nov. 1? I am also trying to decide which day to go, 1, 2 or 3. I potsed this question, and phantom said Florida does not have off on election day (Tues). I guess that means it comes down to the Jersey crowds. (Of which I am a part of!! But our schools get the whole week off.. :))

Disagree that Halloween draws crowds to either Disney or Universal. It's not a travel holiday. People don't have Halloween off.

I seriously doubt that it will be busy on Nov. 1.

I don't know if this helps but we were at Magic Kingdom last year on Nov 1st and it was not crowded at all, in fact the whole week was great for crowds. I don't know how it will be at Universal since we have never been there but I hope it's the same way since we will be there that week again this year!:yay:

OMG I am just soooo excited about going to Universal for the 1st time and going to Seaworld again I can hardly stand it! It will be strange to not go to Disney but I know we will have a great time!!!!:woohoo:

DH and I are going to Universal for the first time in 10yrs. We'll be there Nov 1-4. We went last on our senior trip. We have been going to Disney almost every year and this will be the first time we are going to florida and not doing Disney.

We are really looking foward to it. But I will miss going to the Disney themeparks. We do plan on driving to DTD. Can't go to florida and not go to DTD. :goodvibes

Hey us too! That way I can get my Disney fix without actually going to the parks.;)
