Can you get your park passes a day earlier than check-in?

We are going for free dining but checking in the night before (different ressie). All of our package starts the next day. Will they allow you to get your park tickets the day before your reservation starts? We may just chill by the pool for the night but I kind of want to go to the park.
thanks!

no, Also make sure to get up EARLY the day free dining starts to go check back in with the new reservation. The line last year at POR was hours long.

In the same boat as you, apparently many are.....

Nope, your passes are on your NEW room cards.
Allegedly NO guarantee that you can keep your same room either. I am SO MAD I even did this "oh let me come in three days early and then leave earlier the next week, a split reservation..."UGH! A mistake if you ask me. Tickets and extra costs to add the dining on my room only, etc...too much time planning and I am getting cranky over it, SO NOT LIKE ME AS I LOVE DISNEY!
Well, enough ranting, THANKS for the opportunity though, LOL!

Good Luck!!

If you have the reservations linked (call WDW reservations and have this done), and then remind the CM at check-in, you have a good chance of not having to change rooms. I've done this twice with no problems. No guarantees because they don't guarantee anything.

I have had split reservations on at least 8 trips and have never had to change my room. Have your reservations linked through CRO and then remind the CM at the front desk the day you check in.

are you coming in on a night when you can go to the MNSSHP? If so, those tickets are cheaper than buying a one day park tic and you get to see a special event and you get to be in MK to the wee hours of the night.

Many people will go and enjoy Downtown Disney, miniature golf, etc. on that first night besides enjoying the pool. The Polynesian resort has a view of the water parade pageant.

How very nice of you to suggest. I am so on the fence about this whole trip, and I never hesitate about Disney AND I already paid for air tickets (SW so I can use for future) BUT
I am so overwhelmed with the "figuring out part" trying to figure what exactly to do about tickets, ie, get a 7 day base (no hopping this trip planned) on first half and add dining and then just save second half one day tix for future trip
OR just use my room only aaa discount room first half and buy Undercover tourist tix for whole trip and no dining plan, still saving 2nd half one day tix for future...
We have LeCellier dinner on first half and Hollywood and Vine and Boatwrights though... if I don't get dine I'll ditch them and do counter service for first three days, but have become so spoiled with dining, and do I really want counter service type meals for 3 days, Is that really worth it??LOL!
This "oh, got free dining deal" has turned into a much bigger expense and honestly I just got back from a whirlwind cruise (a trip planned a year ago as a surprise for my hubby and son) that was MUCH more money (though totally worth every penny) and I am NOT whining, KNOWING that I can even consider taking this DISNEY trip 3 mos later, but it just seems like WORK this time (which, by the way I have seen a drastic decrease in my own contracts/work, EVERYONE is cutting back, financially it is really hitting right now, OUCH! ) well, everyone, I swear, really I am NOT complaining just venting so THANKS to each of you out there, ANY thoughts on the ticket or dining issue???
Life is good, I know it but SOMETIMES....:confused3
