Can you get whole milk...

Can you get whole milk at the TS restaurants? What about the CS or anywhere else? We will be going with our 21 month old, so he needs whole milk, and none of the restaurants around here have it, only 1%. I've not had to worry about this at WDW before since I've never gone with a 1 yr old. If they don't have it what to you do? He can be without it for a week. TIA

Most pediatricians suggest switching to 1% or skim at 2, and he'll be almost 2. I really wouldn't worry about it!

I'm not going totell you how to raise your child. But I always give mine 2%.

Agree with PP. Even if you use whole at home, just give him the highest fat content you choose and can find while at WDW and you will be fine. DGS went to 2% at 2. He even gets skim once in a while if we run out of "his" milk.

I had no problem finding whole milk at most CS and TS places. We also had whole milk in the fridge in our room, so DS had that for breakfast and bedtime. If a few places don't have it, don't worry about it. A few servings of low fat milk is fine for a toddler who is close to 24 mos old.

We always use 2%.

That being said, a week of 2% or 1% wont do any "harm", if your child is used to whole milk.

On our last trip last year, I didn't have any problem finding whole milk for DS10 at the same time I found 1% for DS3. But we didn't go to the smaller CS restaurants, just the large ones. But I agree with the other posters who recommended having some in the room if possible.

We found whole milk all over the parks ~ the resorts sell the TG Lee Brand for a reasonable price.

It will be no problem to find and your little one will be happy to be able to have the milk that he or she is used to drinking.

We didn't have a problem finding whole milk for our 18 month old. (We stayed at the Grand Floridian, which I imagine is less kid-oriented, so I imagine the other resorts would have it as well.)
